About C.H.A.R.M. Prison Ministry
At Christ’s Hope And Reconciliation Ministry (C.H.A.R.M.), we look beyond the crime — we see people. We believe every person is made in God’s image and is worthy of love, dignity, and hope. Through one-on-one relationships, we introduce incarcerated men and women to the transforming power of Jesus Christ, guiding them not only toward reconciliation with God but also toward restored relationships with their families, their communities, and the church.
Mission & Approach
Mission:
C.H.A.R.M.’s mission is to reconcile people to God, cultivate lasting life transformation, and support restored relationships.
Approach:
C.H.A.R.M. builds its ministry on two foundational pillars: relationships and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
-
Behind the Walls: C.H.A.R.M. provides worship services, concerts, sporting events, talent shows, holiday dinners, and care-package outreach inside prisons.
-
Within the Walls: C.H.A.R.M. leads Bible studies, mentoring, discipleship programs, recovery groups, and accountability groups.
-
Transitioning Out: C.H.A.R.M. offers re-entry support such as transitional housing, employment assistance, transportation, clothing, food, and ongoing discipleship.
Why the Work Matters
-
Prisons nationwide see recidivism rates around 66%, yet C.H.A.R.M. maintains a rate near 5%—evidence of meaningful, lasting change.
-
C.H.A.R.M. currently provides transitional housing and support for more than 50 men and women rebuilding their lives.
-
C.H.A.R.M. relies on hundreds of volunteers who bring prayer, mentorship, and genuine community to those who need it most.
The Heart of C.H.A.R.M.
At its core, C.H.A.R.M. exists to bring reconciliation—first with God, then with family and community. C.H.A.R.M. continually witnesses stories of healing, renewed faith, restored relationships, and transformed lives through Christ.
