Campaign description
What Is Isaiah 117 House?
Isaiah 117 House is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe, loving home for children who have been removed from their homes and are awaiting foster-care placement. Rather than being stuck in a sterile child-welfare office — often with nothing but the clothes on their backs — these children are welcomed into a warm, caring environment where volunteers offer comfort and care during this difficult transition.
Mission & Purpose
Isaiah 117 House operates with a mission to:
-
Reduce trauma for children awaiting placement.
-
Lighten the load for child-welfare services.
-
Ease the transition for foster families welcoming new children.
What They Do
-
Provide children with a welcoming home environment — including clean clothes, pajamas, bedding, meals, toys, and comfort. Stay
-
Offer emotional support through caring volunteers, creating a sense of dignity, safety, and love during what can be a very scary, uncertain time.
-
Provide caseworkers with the space and support they need to finish placement paperwork — while children relax, play, and begin to feel safe.
Impact and Reach
Since launching in 2017, Isaiah 117 House has grown quickly: there are now dozens of homes in multiple states giving vulnerable children a softer, more loving start on their foster-care journey.
In Texas, for example, their first house opened in Dallas County in 2023 — reflecting the organization’s expanding reach into communities across the country.
Why Isaiah 117 House Matters
Children entering foster care often face trauma, fear, and uncertainty — sometimes arriving to a welfare office without basic belongings. Isaiah 117 House offers something radically different: a compassionate, welcoming home where kids are cared for, treated with dignity, and given physical comfort. More than that — it provides hope. Hope that someone cares, hope that they are not alone, and hope that this difficult transition can begin with kindness, love, and support.
