What Is FCA?
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a faith-driven sports ministry that has been transforming lives since 1954. Through the universal language of athletics, FCA reaches out to coaches and athletes — from youth leagues to professional teams — to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Vision & Mission
-
Vision: To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
-
Mission: To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
How FCA Operates
FCA’s strategic approach is built on three core actions: Engage, Equip, Empower.
-
Engage: Building meaningful relationships in the world of sports — on fields, court, or campuses.
-
Equip: Providing resources like Bible studies, leadership training, and spiritual support for athletes and coaches.
-
Empower: Encouraging participants to become disciple-makers themselves — sharing their faith and leading others.
Programs & Impact
-
Campus & Team Ministry: FCA leads “huddles” (small group meetings), team Bible studies, chaplain programs, and more on high school and college campuses.
-
Camps: From sport-specific camps to leadership and coaches camps, FCA creates environments where spiritual growth and athletic development go hand in hand.
-
Community Ministry: FCA partners with local churches, youth sports teams, and recreational leagues to bring faith into everyday athletics.
Core Values
FCA’s ministry is grounded in four guiding principles: Integrity, Serving, Teamwork, and Excellence.
-
Integrity: Demonstrating Christ-like character in all areas of life.
-
Serving: Modeling Jesus’ servant leadership.
-
Teamwork: Fostering unity and community among participants.
-
Excellence: Working to honor God by giving our best in both sport and faith.
Why FCA Matters
Athletes and coaches have a unique platform — one that stretches far beyond wins and losses. FCA leverages the influence of sport to build character, strengthen faith, and foster leadership. Through its ministry, FCA not only nurtures spiritual growth, but also encourages people to make a positive impact in their communities.
